AFUR and GET.transform, RETA participants, have published the African Model Mini-Grid Regulations Tool to support regulators and policymakers in designing or adapting mini-grid regulations in line with international best practices.
Through a guided questionnaire covering model features, structural and procedural elements, technical considerations, and tariff methodologies, users are directed to one of eight model scenarios. Each scenario can then be further tailored to national or local circumstances. The package also includes practical guidelines and lessons learned to help users maximise its value. Further information can be found here.
We extend our congratulations to AFUR and GET.transform, whose dedicated efforts made this achievement possible, and invite you to explore this tool.
